I am so excited to be doing this with my oldest daughter! I can't believe she was only 16 when I first taught her Reiki and look at her now, makes a mother really proud.
My page will be filled with tutorials, recipes, insights, and loads of fun stuff. I love creating with a variety of mediums, especially food. I am a Stampin UP! demonstrator so you will see cards from time to time but it will not be my focus, I do think the art of giving and receiving cards is becoming lost in our technical age. There is something special about receiving a card or handwritten letter, they convey so much more than a text. Recently I have tried my hand at jewelry and altered art, I am having a ball playing around with wire and gems.
Last year I was diagnosed with Overlapping Connective Tissue Disease, which means I have more than one autoimmune disorder. Mine are Lupus and Sjogren's Syndrome, the pain and symptoms can be very complex and hard to explain. I will post on the subject at times, I know there a lot of people like me out there. I want them to know they are not the disease, it does not have to define them. They are a person with a name, not a disease with a person.
There should be something for everyone here, some fun stuff, some serious stuff and some stuff to think about. This year my goal is to become a certified yoga instructor and start teaching classes for people with chronic pain.
Like Danielle, I am perpetual student, if there is a book or a new theory or holistic healing modality I will devour the knowledge! I will be planning some crafting events for this year and supporting Danielle with her teaching events.
